Anker is one of our top options when it comes to budget brands. Soundcore Mini is a tiny and affordable Bluetooth speaker. It has a visually appealing design, solid build, and numerous playback options. And it also sounds great for its size.

 Things we like

Soundcore Mini comes with a micro USB charging cable, user manual, and 18-month warranty. AUX cable and charging adapter are not included.

Soundcore Mini has a simple cylindrical but visually appealing looks. It’s available in 4 colors – black, pink, gold, and grey. It’s made of plastic and feels fairly solid, but it’s not very rugged and it’s not waterproof.

The controls and input/output scheme are quite simple and intuitive. On the front, you have three buttons – volume controls and play/pause/call button. On the back, you have the power switch, mode button, AUX port, an SD card slot, and a micro USB port for charging.

The speaker features numerous playback options – Bluetooth, AUX connection, SD card slot, and FM tuner. The speaker features Bluetooth 4.0 (+ EDR). The pairing is simple and fast, and the range is above-average (50ft+).

The speaker has a built-in battery that provides almost 15 hours of continuous playtime per charge. You can recharge it in less than 3 hours.

Thanks to the built-in mic, you can answer/make calls hands-free. It’s not flawless and it picks up some background noise, but it’s still usable.

Soundcore Mini houses one up-firing 5W driver. It’s surprisingly loud and punchy for its size. Sure, you can never expect rumbling bass or anything like that from a mini speaker, but it’s still more than satisfying. The midrange is clear and articulate. The highs are a little bit dull, but still present and consistent.

Things we don’t like

The speaker is not waterproof and it’s not very rugged.

All the controls and inputs are located in the lower part of the speaker, near the bottom. The build quality is on par with the price.
